To use a 2-crank manual hospital bed, insert the hand crank into the appropriate slot at the foot of the bed. One crank adjusts the backrest, while the other adjusts the foot or knee section. Turn the crank clockwise to raise the section and counter-clockwise to lower it. After use, store the crank on its designated bracket. 

Step-by-step Guide

Locate the Cranks: Find the two hand cranks at the foot end of the bed.

Identify the Functions: One crank will adjust the backrest to a sitting or reclining position, and the other will adjust the leg or knee section.

Insert the Crank: Insert the notched end of the appropriate crank into the corresponding slot to begin adjustment.

Adjust the Position:

To raise a section: Turn the crank in a clockwise direction.

To lower a section: Turn the crank in a counter-clockwise direction.

Repeat for the Second Crank: Perform the same insertion and turning process for the second crank to adjust the other section of the bed.

Store the Crank: When finished adjusting the bed, detach the crank and securely reattach it to the bracket provided, typically on the footboard.
