An alternating pressure mattress is a medical mattress that uses air-filled chambers to sequentially inflate and deflate, changing pressure points on the body. This continuous cycle helps prevent and treat pressure sores (also called bedsores or pressure ulcers) by improving blood flow and circulation to the skin and underlying tissues.  

How it Works

Air Chambers:

The mattress consists of multiple horizontal air bladders or chambers. 

Alternating Cycle:

A connected pump inflates one set of chambers while deflating another, creating a rotating pattern of pressure.
