A Bath Board is a piece of adaptive equipment, usually a flat board with adjustable supports, designed to help people with mobility issues transfer safely into and out of a bathtub or shower. It rests across the edge of the tub, providing a stable, seated position for the user to wash while positioned partially or fully inside the tub, eliminating the need to step over the high edge.

How it Works

Placement: The board is placed across the top rim of the bathtub. 

Support: Adjustable clamps or pads on the underside secure the board to the inside of the tub. 

Transfer: The user stands with their back to the bath, then sits down on the board. 

Swinging Legs: The user then swivels their bottom and swings their legs, one at a time, over the edge of the bath. 

Washing: The user is now seated on the board inside the tub, allowing them to wash comfortably. 

Getting Out: The process is reversed to exit the bath safely.
