Specifications:

Surgical head and neck packs contain sterile, disposable drapes and absorbent materials to maintain a sterile field and manage fluids during surgery. Therapeutic head and neck packs, on the other hand, are designed to provide hot or cold therapy for pain, swelling, or muscle stiffness. 

Surgical Head and Neck Pack:

Components:

Typically includes a U-shaped drape with absorbent reinforcement, a surgical drape for the head (often with a removable turban), and other sterile pieces like waterproof drapes made of SMS non-woven fabric.

Therapeutic Head and Neck Pack:

Purpose:

To provide hot or cold therapy for pain relief, swelling reduction, or muscle relaxation in the head and neck area. 

Types:

Can be gel packs, wraps with straps, or compression garments. 

Features:

May include features like flexible gel packs that conform to the body, adjustable straps for a secure fit, and soft, comfortable materials.
